Home Fellowship Groups (HFGs)

WHAT ARE HFG’S?

Home Fellowship Groups are small groups which meet to provide fellowship and encouragement. They are rather diverse in that most groups meet in homes, but some have chosen to meet at GCC. Most meet on Sunday evening, but some meet at other times during the week. There is a wide variety of what is done in HFGs, from further study and discussion of the Sunday morning message, to reading and discussing a contemporary Christian book. Each HFG has a leader, a host person/couple, and each group has the freedom to decide what they want to do.

WHY BE INVOLVED IN HFG’S?

GCC believes HFG’s will tremendously enhance spiritual maturity and personal connection with other brothers and sisters in Christ. This is a tremendous opportunity to develop strong personal relationships and study God’s word in a relaxed setting. It is nearly impossible to know everyone at GCC, especially since we have two services, so being in an HFG will give you a greater sense of "belonging". It is an opportunity to connect with God and with others as lasting friendships are formed.

WHEN DO HFG'S START

Home Fellowship Groups begin in September at the beginning of the academic year and meet during the time that children's activities and nursery are available at GCC. New HFGs are formed on an on-going basis as an interest is expressed. Because homes can only accommodate a certain number of people, some groups are larger than other groups. By necessity, some groups are closed because of house space restrictions; however, there are always groups that are not at a full capacity. New groups continue to be formed as GCC grows.
