“Behold, children are a gift (blessing) of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward.” Psalm 127:3
Nursery
Welcome to Kingdom Blessings!
Our nursery is known as Kingdom Blessings. We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord. Each child is unique and special to the Lord and to our ministry. Every child is loved in the kingdom of God and it is our goal to love every child that we come into contact with.
“Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.”
Deuteronomy 6:4-7
As a parent, it is your responsibility to teach your children about God. The church is here to partner with you and to assist in any way that we can, but the responsibility of teaching your children about God belongs to you. God has instructed parents from the beginning to teach their children about Him every opportunity they have.
The Ocean Room is for infants from
birth until 8 months or when they begin to crawl.
Frequently Asked Questions about Kingdom Blessings
Q: When is nursery care available?
A: The nursery is open on Sunday morning, Sunday night
during Home Fellowship Groups and Wednesday nights
during the fall and winter. Any parent attending services
or classes during those times is eligible to use the nursery.
Please do not use the nursery as a babysitting service if
you are not attending a church function.
Q: Who can serve in the nursery?
A: We require all volunteers to attend worship service the
week they are serving and to go through a nursery
training session prior to serving. We encourage each
family to take a turn serving sometime during the year
either on Sunday morning, Sunday evening or
Wednesday night.
Q: How will I be notified if my child needs me while in
the nursery?
A: We use a silent pager system each Sunday and Wednesday
night. The pager will vibrate when you are paged. Please report
to the nursery check-in counter to meet your child.
Q: What should I bring in my child’s diaper bag for church?
A: Please bring a bag for your child with a diaper, pacifier if
your child takes one, snack (if under 18 months) and a
sippy cup or bottle. If you do not have a diaper bag tag
for your bag we will provide you with one.
Q: Is there anything I should not bring for my child?
A: Please leave all toys at home or in the car. The nursery is
equipped with plenty of toys for your child. Also please
do not bring jewelry or sunglasses as those can get lost
easily or broken.
Q: Is there anyway for me to check on my child
during services?
A: Yes! We have a camera system with a monitor out in the
hallway, which will allow you to view your child in their
classroom at any time. If you still have a question or
concern please see the nursery greeter.
Q: Where do I go to nurse my baby or to comfort a crying
baby who is sitting with me in worship?
A: We have a room for nursing mother’s in the nursery area.
Please check in with the greeter before coming in so we
know who is in the area. You will be able to watch the worship
service from the mother’s room. Please do not use this room
as a replacement for being in worship unless you are feeding or
comforting your baby.
The Forest Room is for crawlers and
walkers, children from 8 months
to 18 months.
The Desert Room is a room for children 18 months up to 2 yrs.
The Jungle Room is for children 2 years old until they promote into preschool.
Children in the Jungle Room have a song and story time, crafts and other learning acitivites related to their Bible story. They learn about the same Bible story for a whole month before moving on to a new story. The snack will be provided for children in the Jungle.
Children promote out of the nursery into the Preschool Department every September. If a child is 2-years-old by August 1, they are eligible to promote in September.
