Preschool
Castle Kids are our GCC preschoolers.
Preschool classes begin with children who were 3-years-old as of August 1, 2008, through children who will be attending Kindergarten for the 2008-2009 school year. We call them Castle Kids because they are children of The King! We strive to assist parents in developing these kids for lifelong service in God's Kingdom!
The following programs are offered to all preschoolers:
Sunday School is at 9:00 am, Sunday Mornings.
We offer Bible lessons that present the message of God's love in a language kids understand with memorable activities that can have a lasting impact on young lives. The kids are divided by age and spend most of the hour in their classroom.
Wee Worship is at 10:30 am, Sunday Mornings.
All the preschoolers spend time together singing praises and focusing on missions. They gather on the castle steps and are led by Kathy Lewis, a veteran of more than 20 years. They then return to their classroom for a simple snack (cheese crackers and water) and continue with the day's message.
Sonbeams is from 5:50 to 7:30 pm, Sunday Nights
(SEP-DEC and FEB-MAY).
We honor God with praise in the forms of music, art, and movement. We begin each session with a simple snack.
Castle Kids is from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday Nights (SEP-NOV and JAN-MAR).
Weekly activities include a lesson, prayer, snack time, crafts, and games. FYI: During the winter months if the Greencastle Schools are closed on a Wednesday, Castle Kids is also cancelled.
The preschoolers had a special tea party recently for the widows of the church.
